The Tide® ministry, which broadcasts the Gospel message in over 20 languages on three continents using local languages we refer to as ‘heart languages,’ continues its life-altering ministry through radio broadcasts in Albania and Kosovo. We spread Christ’s hope and wisdom, reaching not only those who already put their faith and trust in Jesus, but also those who may be far from Christ or not yet introduced to His love and grace.
“The Tide ministry has been honored to share the Gospel in Albania and Kosovo for seven years, first over radio airwaves in partnership with Radio 7, and now additionally through media players and livestreaming,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “We are so thankful to the local pastors who partner with us to grow the Church and share our programs with the people in their communities.”
Shenk stated that the work The Tide does is made possible by these pastors who produce the radio programs in the language of their own people and in a context that makes the Gospel accessible.
One young man can attribute his new faith in God because of Radio 7 and a pastor who invested time into his life. He wrote, “I am a student and my life is very difficult because of a chronic disease I have. Today you prayed on the program and I closed my eyes and believed in a miracle. I don’t know what happened but I felt good inside. What can I do to know more about God? Please help me.” The pastor on the program went and met with the young man, who is paralyzed and lives with his mother. The pastor answered his questions and the young man submitted his life to Christ, wishing to be baptized this summer.
Another believer, encouraged by the radio ministry, wrote in describing the impact it has on her life as well as her community.
“I am the only believer in my family,” the listener explained. “I love my husband and pray for his salvation and the salvation of other family members. I love listening to Radio 7 because it encourages me. It lifts my heart and gives me ideas on how to reach people around me with the Gospel… I listen to [the] programs often with unbelieving friends and relatives and all of them find the pastors to be very true to the message.”
Shenk reflected on the ministry’s tangible impact in people’s lives, saying, “It is edifying to hear from viewers who are touched by the content of the programs. It is amazing when we hear from unbelievers that they have been uplifted or are now putting their faith in Christ after listening to a Tide partner pastor.”
