The Power of Testimony

Moja Priča (My Story) is a new weekly series of 20-30 minute conversations broadcast in the Serbian language by Radio 7, The Tide’s local ministry partner in the Balkan region. Each episode features a guest whose life has been changed by Christ, sharing their story of redemption and transformation. Episodes can be watched on the Radio 7 website, as well as on YouTube, and video shorts are published on Facebook and YouTube to engage a broader audience.

Storytelling is a powerful way to communicate and our testimonies can draw many people to the Lord, especially if they can relate to our experiences. One viewer related to one episode featuring Sanja, who lived through the Balkan conflicts of the 1990’s, and shares,

Sanja’s story brought some hard memories to me. I remember well the time when our city was bombed and we didn’t know if we would live another day. Chaos, hunger, pain, fear of death. My dad died in the last Balkan war and that wound 26 years later felt so fresh. Listening to Sanja, I understood I had to choose forgiveness. The hatred had numbed my reasoning. In that moment, I asked Jesus to forgive me and heal me. Thank you for these stories.

Another viewer connected with Bojan’s testimony. He writes,

Bojan’s story resonated so much with me. Like him I spend most of my youth during communism in Serbia. It was such a dark time. We were deceived and when we learnt the truth I became interested in all kind of cults. I experimented with darkness. I struggled in my relationships and I truly went in the deep pit before God found me. These stories are so full of life and hope. Thank you.

Another viewer, was compelled to share these stories with coworkers. She writes,

I want to thank you for the Moja Priča TV program. These stories are so powerful and I wait forward every week for the new story. I have been so blessed and inspired. The stories how these brothers and sisters who fought addictions came to freedom in Christ has always been very encouraging to me. Only God can redeem a person that is so deep in drug addiction. These stories filled my heart with gratefulness. I share these stories with my colleagues at work and two of them already made a decision for Christ and are coming to church. Please keep sharing the light. Our country is in deep darkness. Only Jesus saves.
