When family and friends have turned against you, a familiar voice on the radio can be a source of comfort. Just ask Dardan*, a Christian from Kosovo. His older brother is a committed Muslim who has opposed his faith and has tried to cut him off from all of his family members. Dardan writes, “I have always been very kind and forgiving to him, for a long time, but his behavior was becoming worse. I had to take a stand as he was really hurting my wife and children. I had to stand for them.”
Dardan resolved to have a “hard talk” with his brother. After the talk, he turned on the radio and wanted to be alone. But a familiar voice on Radio 7 greeted him.
Dardan writes, “Pastor G’s message in that moment meant the world to me. I prayed with Pastor G that day and felt the burden of the broken relationship with my brother leave me. I have learned that Jesus is enough for me.”
Dardan adds, “I listen to the radio a lot and I love listening to Radio 7 Kosovo. I’m so happy and thankful for this source of happiness for my spiritual growth for my life and for my family. I listen as I drive and I listen when I’m home with my family. I listen regularly to pastor G and have learned a lot from him how to apply my faith into my daily life.”
There are many helps available to us in times of need. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than a 2-edged sword. The Body of Christ expresses the love of Christ in person to believers who are hurting. The pain of losing a brother is hard to put into words. We are grateful that through the radio and the Internet, we are able to connect with followers of the Lord and encourage them through life’s challenges.
