In the heart of Cameroon, where winding dirt roads connect scattered villages and families often walk miles for the basics of life, God is at work. Since 2023, The Tide® ministry, in partnership with the Cameroon Center for Evangelism and Hope (CFEH) has been sharing the Good News across Cameroon through radio broadcasts that reach into homes and communities where missionaries cannot always go. These broadcasts have opened countless hearts to Christ, but for those who respond, discipleship and community are vital. That’s why The Tide and CFEH are now stepping beyond the airwaves with special projects that meet real needs while pointing people to the hope of Jesus.
One such project is drilling wells in remote communities. In villages where clean water is scarce, people often walk for hours to fetch water that isn’t even safe to drink. But when a new well is drilled, everything changes. Families enjoy health and safety, children have more time for school, and the entire community gathers around a source of fresh, clean water. Each well becomes a daily reminder of the Living Water that never runs dry. Engaging in these types of compassionate projects ensures that people are not only hearing the Gospel in their own language but are also experiencing God’s love in practical, life-changing ways.
Another way we are committed to meeting needs is by raising funds to build shelters for church gatherings. Over the past two years CFEH has documented 2,481 conversions and established 46 new fellowship groups. In rural areas, believers often meet under trees or in open fields, vulnerable to rain and heat. By providing simple but sturdy structures, The Tide and CFEH will be giving congregations a safe place to worship and grow together. These shelters quickly become the heart of the community – a place where faith is strengthened, friendships are built, and hope is shared.
To support ministry workers who travel tirelessly to meet with listeners and disciple new believers, The Tide is also endeavoring to provide motorcycles. In a land where reliable transportation is scarce, these motorcycles are more than a convenience—they are a lifeline. They enable pastors and evangelists to reach villages that would otherwise be cut off, ensuring that new believers are not left to walk their faith journey alone, and that small groups can be effectively shepherded as they grow into established congregations.
Every well drilled, every shelter built, and every motorcycle provided is made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives. Together, The Tide ministry and the Cameroon Center for Evangelism and Hope are weaving the message of Christ into the fabric of daily life in Cameroon – offering both physical relief and eternal salvation.
This is the Gospel in action: words of life proclaimed, and acts of love demonstrated. With your support, we can continue to bring both hope and living water to the people of Cameroon.
