Your Did It

Grammatically incorrect, playfully or sarcastically applied, and internet-famous, this meme has become something of a star in its own right. But what if it could be made into a serious award, something worthy of some VIPs to The Tide ministry? As with many things, from online content to vintage furniture, a little creativity can repurpose it.

Let’s begin.

First, let’s notice that “Your” is a possessive pronoun and not the contraction you might expect at the beginning. Suppose we look at it not as the wrong form of the pronoun you, but as the right one.

Next, it seems that a “did it” belongs to someone. Since a “did it” really isn’t a thing most people have and we don’t know what a “did it” is, we are going to make the quotation marks permanent.

Your “did it” is what we have left. With an overhaul of the graphic and an explanation, the Your did it will be transformed from a silly award into a sincere expression of gratitude and recognition for our VIPs.

Here is Your “Did it”.

Now, it is more than a silly meme. It is recognition that you, our faithful donor, our faithful prayer warrior, our faithful volunteer, our faithful supporter in whatever way God is using you, are a vital part of The Tide ministry.

As some of the quarterly ministry reports from the field come trickling in, it is amazing to see what God is doing around the world through our partner ministries. It would be a great oversight if we did not take a moment to share some of what is being reported or recognize that this is because of you. You are the VIP. This is your “did it”.

In the second quarter of 2026, there were almost three hundred thousand contacts with our partner ministry in Zimbabwe. You did it. You empowered them to answer texts, emails, online messages, host services from camps to funeral services, and stream services to almost 300,000 people who needed hope, encouragement, reminders of God’s love, and to hear the Gospel. This is what your support did.

In Cameroon, we now have approximately one hundred sixty new brothers and sisters in Christ. That is 160 souls rescued from hell, brought to new life, given a hope that transforms them and brings them into a right relationship with God. This is what your support did.

In another location, there was one salvation.

Mathematically, it seems like a little victory compared to Cameroon or Zimbabwe. But it isn’t “just one” said with a sigh. It is “There was a salvation!” said with a heart full of hallelujahs.

Your heart might break, and tears of joy run down your face when you learn that thanks to your support, there is a new believer in an area of the world that is violently hostile towards those who profess faith in Jesus. There is now, in this undisclosed location, a light shining in the darkness where there were zero local believers. This is what your support did.

You are the VIP. The “did it” belongs to you. It is your “Did It”. You allowed God to work through you, and you gave your support to The Tide. That is what empowers us to keep our commitment to lead as many people as possible into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

In whatever way you have supported The Tide, we encourage you to take a moment and thank God for giving you the ability. Thank God for the lives that are being changed. Thank God for the salvation of Jamey*, the believer in the undisclosed location, and pray for their safety as well as more believers for them to fellowship with.
