We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ -1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
You can’t lift two-ton cars above your head, yet you are powerful. Crime-fighting is not your forte, but you are still making the world a better place. You cannot fly, but somehow you share Jesus thousands of miles away and still make it home in time for dinner.
You are a hero.
Take a moment to think about it as you read this sampling of reports from the field.
From July through September, our partners in Mozambique received over 700 responses to broadcasts. In Cameroon, 252 people placed their faith in Jesus.
Through radio programs in India, 4,484 connections were made; 372 of those were from people who wanted to know more about Jesus.
The Pashto language ministry in Pakistan had 38,000 views last quarter. One viewer wrote in to express his resentment of the program by stating, “Don’t tell us these Jewish and Christian stories.”
We thank God for these connections. Through them, seekers find answers and believers find strength. We praise God for the gentleman who shared his feelings. His response opens a door for dialogue.
The Apostle Paul thanked God for the Thessalonian believers, remembering their work of faith, labor of love, and steadfast hope. In the same way, we thank God for you.
Prayer is your superpower. James 5:16 says the prayer of a righteous person is very effective. You pray for The Tide ministry, our ‘boots on the ground’, and those who have yet to hear the Gospel. Your prayers get answered. For example, in Cameroon, a witch doctor has a new life in Christ. When he surrendered his life to Jesus, he also surrendered his charms to be burned.
You fight the darkness of this world by helping to shine the light of Jesus, spreading his word in the languages people were born to speak.
You are a hero to us and to many others who may never know your name. We sincerely thank you.
