A total of 50 seekers and non-believers attended a recent Radio Listeners’ Conference in Pakistan. Almost half of them came from the Sindh province, but the rest of the group represented a diverse linguistic and regional background. We were delighted with the strong and diverse turnout and deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a wide and engaged audience which was a testament to the growing impact of our media outreach.
The conference theme, “The Divine Concept of Sacrifice,” was thoughtfully chosen to align with the spirit of Eid ul Adha (The Feast of Sacrifice) — a time when the idea of sacrifice is deeply present in the hearts and minds of many people throughout Pakistan and the Muslim world in general. This timely and spiritually relevant topic allowed our discipleship team to connect meaningfully with our listeners.
The conference began by exploring the meaning of “Qurb,” which signifies closeness to God. This concept laid the foundation for our core message: that humanity longs for restored closeness with God (Qurb) through Qurbani (sacrifice), because mankind has fallen short of God’s glory and become distant from Him. This understanding led us to a profound conclusion — that human beings cannot attain forgiveness merely through rituals or sacrifices. Ultimately, our team presented the truth of the perfect and final sacrifice — Jesus Christ. Participants learned that Christ’s sacrifice is complete and sufficient; by believing in Him, there remains no need for any further offering. Through His atonement, all our transgressions and original sin are fully and forever wiped away.
The overall feedback from the audience was overwhelmingly positive. Participants especially appreciated the use of contextualized language and a teaching method that was clear and easy to understand. The inclusion of stories from the prophets helped listeners connect more personally with the message. One concept that stood out as new and thought-provoking for many was the idea of ‘original sin,’ which is not present in Islamic theology. Additionally, the exploration of God’s justice — presented as inseparable from His love – challenged listeners to reflect more deeply. While these ideas were unfamiliar to some, the arguments were compelling and opened the door for thoughtful discussion and spiritual reflection, leading to sincere conversations during tea and lunch breaks, post-session conversations, and even late-night discussions. These informal times played a vital role in guiding many toward the truth of Christ as the conference facilitators engaged participants in transparent and honest dialogue, addressing deeply philosophical questions with patience, clarity, and compassion.
One of the most remarkable outcomes of the event was witnessing the transformative power of the Gospel in the lives of some listeners as several participants experienced a complete spiritual turnaround. Individuals who initially came as non-believers, skeptics, and seekers, filled with questions about Islam and the Christian faith, left with hearts changed and minds renewed. Below are some of the testimonies from those whose lives were touched and transformed during the event:
“I came as a seeker, but I am leaving as a believer. After hearing and understanding the truth of the Gospel, I know in my heart that I have been chosen to be part of this event. This was not a coincidence — this was a calling.” Waseem
“I have not only decided to follow Jesus Christ, but I also commit to serving Him and sharing these truths with others. I want to begin by sharing this message with my fiancée, so that we can walk this journey of faith together. This truth has changed my life, and I believe it can change hers too. I have faith that she will accept these truths and experience the same transformation I have.” Faraz
“I came with many deep questions and doubts about faith, particularly concerning Christian teachings. But I thank God that the speakers at this event were instrumental in addressing my concerns with clarity and grace. Their responses not only removed my doubts but also opened my heart to the truth. I am overjoyed to have received this life-changing blessing and newfound understanding of God’s love.” Imam
