The Tide® Ministry Launches New Arabic TV Program to Reach Millions of Children with the Gospel

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.— The Tide® (www.TheTide.org) ministry in the Middle East is gearing up to launch a new Arabic television show as the ministry continues to bring the Gospel to everyone in their own language. This program is in addition to The Tide® ministry’s main method of reaching people — global radio broadcasts that share the Gospel in listeners’ heart languages, or the languages they were born to speak.

Many children in rural parts of the region do not have access to the Christian message. The main objective of producing the new television program is to reach poor areas around the Arab world where there is no Christian education. Through the use of the Arabic TV show, these locations will now have Sunday school lessons for the children who have never heard the Good News.

Don Shenk, director of The Tide® ministry, stated, While our ministry first started with radio broadcasting, it’s vital to come up with alternative solutions like television programming that will deliver God’s message to the children wherever they are and invite them to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. If they are unable to attend a Church or a Sunday school, we will bring the Gospel into their homes through this program.”

The program’s main objectives will be to enable children throughout the Middle East to hear of God’s love and the Gospel and make it easy for any child to understand. The Tide® ministry is specifically reaching impoverished areas where there are currently no Sunday School opportunities available. The program will be aired on all Arabic satellite channels, including SAT7 Kids, which is the most watched Christian satellite channel in the region. In addition, the program will be posted online through various digital media channels including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and others. The ministry estimates that this program will be able to reach 5-7 million children through satellite and online.

The Tide® ministry is currently celebrating its 75th year of global mission, all while looking forward to the next seven decades with their plan called “The Tide® Diamond Vision:”

  • Amplify – The Tide ministry will increase ministry initiatives so that more people can experience God’s grace.
  • Magnify – The Tide ministry will work to grow its support base to an expanded demographic.
  • Solidify – The Tide ministry will develop and supply more resources to help new believers to grow in their faith and live in right relationship with God.
  • Verify – The Tide ministry will measure the effectiveness of its activities to both manage them well and to demonstrate the efficient stewardship of resources.
  • Glorify – The Tide ministry will strive to ensure that all it does to achieve its vision will bring glory to God.
