The Tide® Ministry Celebrates Easter While Continually Spreading the Gospel Through Radio Broadcasts

As Christians around the world celebrate Resurrection Sunday, The Tide® ministry is more determined than ever to spread the Gospel through radio broadcasts in over 30 different languages on three continents, reaching millions of people including those in Afghanistan, Albania, Bhutan, India, Kosovo, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
Director Don Shenk commented, “It is a wishful thought that men and women, boys and girls, all around the world would have a chance to hear the Easter story and accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. ”

With God’s help, we are doing more than just thinking wishful thoughts. In partnering with local pastors and radio stations overseas, Gospel broadcasts are airing from 11 different nations on 3 continents. These programs in 30 native languages spread over national borders into at least 39 different countries, reaching a potential audience of more than 900 million souls.

“A steady stream of testimonies carries back results of these broadcasts as we learn of those who listened then asked Jesus to be their Savior. The local pastors follow up with discipleship materials, prayers, and visits when possible. Every month, more who have heard the Gospel by radio join those who are preparing to celebrate Resurrection Sunday.”

Shenk continued, “We are grateful…but we are not satisfied. Having just completed The Tide ministry’s 75th year, we are sensing God’s call to increase initiatives. We want to add to the number of languages in which broadcasts go forth so that the Gospel is introduced to some who have never heard. We also want to respond to those asking for additional Gospel programs in order to grow stronger in their faith. These opportunities already exist. Hopefully, these initiatives can soon become a calling fulfilled.”
