Why do we spend money on teenagers? They don’t tithe!

That was the line a church member said during a business meeting that made a youth pastor’s mind quickly pivot away from thinking about retreats, lock-ins, pizza parties, and other youth ministry activities designed to reach the youth in his community.  His heart sank, and all he could think of was, “It’s because of the encounters with Jesus, the changed hearts, the lives transformed, and the souls saved.”

For him, the expense was worth it because of the stories of God working in the lives of those he was called to serve.

In John 4:4-39, we read a powerful story. It’s about an “outsider” whose life changed when she met Jesus, who met her where she was. She had missed the mark in her relationships, her life choices, and her theology. But she discovered the source of truth and what each soul truly thirsts for: to understand that we are known by God and we can know God. She came to the well with shame, and left with a story.

The Tide ministry exists because of stories.

Like the youth ministry above, the recipients of our resources can not repay. But through The Tide ministry, you are reaching hearts. Hearts that have stories to tell. They are stories of finding the light of Jesus after being in spiritual darkness. They are stories of experiencing God’s unconditional love. They are stories of hope, salvation, healing, and transformation. They are stories that you are a very important part of.

Below are just a few stories that our partners have sent in. As you read them, take a moment to pray for the person behind the story. You may not know their name, but God does. And if the stories inspire you, share your story with us. Whatever chapter God puts on your heart to share, whether it is how you came to know Jesus, how you got connected with The Tide ministry, or something God has done in your life, we would be encouraged by it. From The Balkan Region  (3 Minute Read)

Hello, 

I have been listening to Sipas Fjalës for almost a year now, and I felt I needed to write and thank you for what God has been doing through this ministry.

For a long time, I was living with a heavy heart. Outwardly everything looked normal, I  had a family, a job, and responsibilities but inside I had become discouraged and bitter. Financial pressure, problems at work, and constant worries had slowly taken away my peace. I had stopped praying consistently because I felt that God was silent. I still believed in Him, but I had begun to lose hope that He cared about the details of my life.

One morning, while driving to work, I turned on the radio and heard your message about trusting God even when we cannot see what He is doing. You said that God often works behind the scenes before we ever see the answer. Those words stayed with me the entire day. It was as if God was speaking directly to my situation.

From that week onward, I began listening every time I could. Each message challenged me to return to God’s Word instead of letting fear control my thoughts. I started reading the Bible every morning before work, even if only for fifteen minutes. I prayed with my wife again after many months, and gradually our home began to change. We spoke with more patience, argued less, and learned to encourage one another instead of blaming each other.

The circumstances did not change overnight, but my heart did. I experienced a peace that I had not felt for years. A few months later, God opened a new opportunity at work that I had never expected. Looking back, I realize that the greatest miracle was not the new job but the way God restored my faith before He changed my circumstances.

Thank you for faithfully preaching God’s Word without compromise. Please continue this ministry, because many people like me may never write, but every week they are strengthened by what they hear. God has used Sipas Fjalës to remind me that His promises are still true and that He has never abandoned His children.

The way today’s program discussed the “eccentric person” (Khabti Insaan) and
various aspects of human actions and character was truly unique, purposeful, and
deeply rooted in reality. The most impressive part was that whenever a question or
thought arose in my mind, Mr. M.  would address that very point in the
next moment with great elegance and wisdom. It felt as if he not only has a profound
command over the subject but is also fully aware of the state of the listeners’ hearts
and minds.

The honorable host, keeping current circumstances in view, raised wise questions that
occur to every individual, and then presented the answers in a simple yet effective
manner. It is fair to say that he didn’t just identify the problems but also explained the
solutions in a way that truly resonates and compels one to think about how to bring
positive change into their life.

In my view, despite being concise, today’s program was a treasure trove of complete
guidance. Such a conversation is undoubtedly beneficial for every listener and can
serve as a source of direction at every turn of life. These were words that did not just
reach the ears but touched the heart and left a lasting impression.
I heartily pay tribute to the efforts of everyone involved in organizing this program. It
is your hard work and dedication that brings such high-quality and purposeful
programs to the audience.
