Hikmat De Moti (Pearls of Wisdom) is a 15-minute Saraiki-language broadcast produced by our ministry partner, Pakistan Christian Recording Ministries. The Saraiki people speak a language similar to Punjabi but are a distinct cultural and ethnic group/
So far this year, Pearls of Wisdom has been focused on topics related to the family, the role of men and women in marriage, as well as celibacy, friendship, and divorce. These are areas where a Christian worldview offers a clear alternative to what is accepted under Islamic teachings. Our ministry partner shares, “whether in married or single life, Christian ethics provide a moral compass that promotes wholeness, dignity, and faithful witness to God’s design.”
In the first three months of 2025, Pearls of Wisdom has reached approximately 140,000 people across the Saraiki-speaking regions of Pakistan, with over 12,000 individuals engaging through likes on social media posts. This is not an insignificant percentage of the total Saraiki population of 20 million. We are grateful for a broad and growing audience, and for responses such as this one from T. Sial:
Today’s program was truly a blessing, as we reflected on the importance of holiness in both married and unmarried life. I deeply admire the dedication and hard work of the team in preparing such meaningful content.
H, another listener to Pearls of Wisdom, writes,
Listening to my favorite program in Saraiki language was an exceptionally pleasant experience. As the matter of fact Jesus has risen from the dead. Happy resurrection day to all team of PCRM from my side.
It is not surprising however that some responses were not positive. Some listeners have called for the Saraiki people to block the program because it is Christian and not Muslim, and others have chastised the program for not deferring to the Quran in its teachings. We pray for God to open the spiritual eyes of these brothers and sisters as they encounter the Living Word. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase” (1 Corinthians 3:6).
Later this month, we will bring an exciting update about a renewed outreach to the Pashtun people – stay tuned!
