In Nepal’s chaos, YOU are sharing the Peace of Christ.
Widespread protests recently erupted in Nepal, filling the streets with violence and leaving a sense of uncertainty.
- Will Nepal revise or rewrite its constitution?
- Will Nepal remain a secular state, or will it become a Hindu kingdom, leaving churches and believers to face even greater challenges and threats?
But, no matter what happens, in the middle of this chaos you are helping our ‘boots on the ground’ bring the message of hope and peace offered through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Through your prayers and gifts, The Tide® ministry is broadcasting the Gospel in the Nepali and Tharu languages. These programs carry the message of hope into homes that are now surrounded by fear. But, even in the midst of the fear, people are hearing God’s Word and He is transforming lives.
One listener of our Tharu broadcast, Anmol Zindagi (“Precious Life”), shared:
“This program has completely transformed my life and also my family. I started to listen regularly and was blessed through the program. I expect this program will continue for a long time and touch the lives of many people and bring them to Christ.”
Another listener wrote about the Nepali program, Prasasta Jivan (“Abundant Life”):
“The radio messages have blessed me personally, and I am drawn closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now it is my desire to share about Jesus Christ with my neighbors and others.”
These testimonies are possible because of you.
Even as tensions rise, you are ensuring that the Nepali people can hear about Jesus in their own heart language. You are standing with believers who might otherwise feel forgotten. And you are helping entire families discover the abundant life found only in Christ.
Our team leader in India recently communicated with our Tharu language radio pastor and shared the following message:
“He [Tharu radio pastor] said that the situation is very tense and there is chaos in Nepal. But God protected him and his family till now under His mighty hand and asked us to pray for Nepal.”
Please keep praying for Nepal. At least 74 souls have entered into eternity and lives are forever impacted through this situation. Pray the peace of Christ will break through the turmoil, and that many more will place their trust in Him.
Together, we are planting seeds of eternal hope in Nepal. Thank you for making this ministry possible.
