Reminders
We put them on sticky notes so that we don’t forget to pick up groceries on the way home. We write them in planners, so we know what needs to get done. We set them on our phones and computers so we don’t miss a meeting.
Here is a reminder that you might not have set yet, but we hope you will.
Meeting Reminder
Meeting Time: Today
Recurring: Daily
Attendees: You and Jesus
He is the most important figure in all of history, and He wants you to meet with Him. We cannot tell you what is on the agenda. That is between you and God. But we sincerely request that you bring up a topic that breaks our hearts: the worldwide opposition to Jesus.
As we prepare to mark the 250th anniversary of the US this Independence Day with excitement, we also have the burden of a sobering reality. We have a constitutional guarantee of freedom to receive and proclaim Jesus Christ; it is a right that millions around the world do not have. The Tide ministry has not only written about it, but has spent decades walking alongside believers in countries where following Christ can mean heavy fines, prison, or worse.
If you are like many, when you read the stories and hear the testimonies of those who are persecuted and punished for their faith in Jesus, it can be a moment where you shrug it off and think that it is so overwhelming that there is nothing you can do about it.
The Bible offers a different perspective. It tells us that prayer accomplishes much (James 5:16).
During July, we invite and encourage you to pray for countries where religious freedom is waning or completely unheard of.
Many people like the satisfaction of checking things off their reminder list. We’ve created a small prayer page that has a list of countries that desperately need your prayers.
We hope you will visit it, choose one or more countries to pray for, and ask God to protect the body of Christ and seekers and to open those countries to the life-transforming power of Jesus.
Whether you visit it once or daily, your prayers are greatly appreciated. The generous financial support of donors enables us to operate around the world. Prayer support opens doors, FINISH THIS SENTENCE
