Over the past seven decades, God has blessed The Tide ministry with the privilege of spreading the Good News of Jesus via unique radio and media broadcasts. Millions of lives have been impacted by people hearing the Gospel in their own heart language, or the language they were born to speak. When sharing about Jesus, one of the most powerful questions someone can ask is, “Have You Heard? . . .”
The Great Commission commands us to make disciples of all nations, and while we are reaching millions of listeners around the world, we want to also reach the people in our own communities. That is why we recently re-launched our Have You Heard? Challenge, inviting Christians across the country to join a community of believers who have already taken the step to be a bold witness for the Lord as they share their faith with others.
The Challenge is simple – you commit to ask at least 10 people during the next 12 months if they have heard what Jesus did for them. If the response is no, you can share about the love of Christ with them. If they are a believer, you can tell them about The Tide ministry and invite them to join the HYH Challenge with you!
By accepting the HYH? Challenge, you set a goal to intentionally share Jesus with the people you come into contact with through your daily activities. When you register, you will receive a Have You Heard? t-shirt to wear as a conversation starter, along with a pamphlet with examples of how to share Jesus. In addition, you will receive occasional email messages from The Tide team throughout the year to check in and see how you are doing with the Challenge. We have also created a HYH? Challenge Facebook Group for participants to join. This group is a place where members can share testimonies of their conversations and encourage one another.
Perhaps you are thinking about signing up but are apprehensive. Think about how often you pass by or interact with people who have never heard the Good News of Jesus. The truth is, there are probably more people who have yet to hear about the lifesaving grace of Christ than we realize. Now is the time to do something about it, and it is as easy as starting with the simple question of, “Have You Heard?” to begin the conversation. And remember, you are not alone; God is right there with you every step of the way!
