I’m too ___ to ___!

Fill in the blanks with something you wish you could do and why you haven’t. What reason did you have? Do you think you are too old, too young, too poor, too busy, or too shy? Maybe it was something else.  

In many cases adding one word can change the tone of the sentence and your chances of doing it. The word is “not.”  I am not too ___ to ___! This is especially true when it comes to helping share the Gospel around the world. 

Consider this powerful statement from Jesus in Matthew 17:20, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Hebrews 11 gives us what has often been called the Faith Hall of Fame.  It is a list of people who, by faith, said “I am not too ___ to allow God to use me.” They added the “not” and trusted God to add the “how.”

What if you added the “not” and let God add the “how?” That’s the story of those in the Faith Hall of Fame. 

This year The Tide will host its 5th Annual Race To Share the Gospel Around the World to benefit the ministry in Thailand. Your support is critical! Thailand is a country deeply entrenched in Buddhism with less than 2% of the population being Christian. That is roughly 70 million lost souls who could head into eternity without knowing the love of Jesus Christ. They need your “not.”

The Tide has a very practical “how” for you. Whether you are in Chambersburg, PA, Ontario, Canada, or around the world, everyone can get involved in partnering with us in the Race to Share the Gospel.

Here are the “hows”:

In-Person: Saturday, May 16th

Join us at Norlo Park in Fayetteville, PA and participate in one or more ways:

  • 5K Race (Chip timed this year!)
  • 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk (Warm up for the 5K or kickstart your Virtual Challenge miles.)
  • FREE Family Fun Day (Games, prizes, inflatable obstacle course, free picnic lunch, and more!)
  • Volunteer (Many volunteers are needed to help the day run smoothly!)
  • Sponsor (Help offset the costs of the event.)
  • Fundraise/Donate

Virtually: May 16 – 31 

  • 16-Day Virtual Challenge (run, walk/hike, or swim)
  • Ride for The Tide (bicycle)
  • Cheerleader (prayer warrior)

These virtual events invite participants to run, walk, hike, bike, or swim 13 miles between May 16th and May 31st to raise funds and bring awareness to the work we are doing to tell everyone we can in Thailand about the love of Jesus. 

By entering your distances as you complete your miles, you will encounter Milestone Markers with prayer suggestions for real places as your icon travels along the race path on your progress map, allowing us to virtually flood the streets with prayer and creating a Kingdom presence among lost souls.

As you think and pray about being involved, and trust God that you are “not too __ to __,” choose one of the “hows” above and watch how He uses you to impact the world.
