Each Spring, The Tide® hosts an annual 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk which includes a FREE Family Fun Day with activities and games, prizes, drawings, a picnic lunch, and more! This event is open to the public, and participation in the Race events are not necessary to attend.
2026 Fundraising Goals
This year’s Race will benefit our work in Thailand where our programming is currently heard on three stations for a total of four hours each day, with plans to add another station in 2026. With approximately 20 million Isaan language speakers in this region, these programs allow souls who are deeply entrenched in Buddhism to hear the Good News of Jesus in the heart language they were born to speak.
Our Race fundraising goal is $15,000 for ongoing ministry in 2026, in addition to raising support for media players and airtime costs. Below is a list of areas you may choose to contribute with cost breakdowns.

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Gather with us for fun, food, and fellowship as we host our third in-person race. Use this 1-mile as a warm-up for the 5K or kick-start your 16-Day Virtual Challenge miles with others.

16-Day Virtual Challenge
This virtual event invites participants to run, walk, hike or swim 13 miles between May 16th-31st to raise funds and bring awareness to the work we are doing to tell people in Thailand the truth about Jesus.
This year Participants will virtually navigate through the streets of a city in Thailand, with the opportunity to pray for those who haven’t yet heard the Good News of Jesus.
By entering your distances as you complete your miles, you will encounter Milestone Markers with prayer suggestions for real locations as your icon travels along the race path on your progress map, allowing us to virtually flood the streets with prayer and creating a Kingdom presence among lost souls.
Our goal this year is to raise $15,000, giving approximately 22 million people the opportunity to access the Good News of Jesus. While it is not a requirement to participate, would you consider asking people to sponsor your miles or make a donation to help us reach this goal?
Because this is a challenge and not a traditional race, you are able to break up the distance over the 16-day period. Doing as little as 1-mile per day will allow you to complete the challenge in the allotted time. Here are some suggestions of ways you may choose to participate:
- Find a track to run/walk (4 laps = 1 mile)
- Find a park with trails nearby
- Go shopping and track your distance for the trip
- Play three rounds of golf (avg. course = 5 miles per 18-holes)

Ride for The Tide Virtual Challenge

Cheerleader
If you are unable to participate in the physical challenges, you can still be involved as a Cheerleader!
As a Cheerleader you can:
- Pray for challenge participants and the prayer suggestions at the Milestone Markers you will encounter along the virtual race path
- Spread the word about the race
- Become an individual or team fundraiser

Student Ministry Sponsor
Attention Youth Pastors!
Are you looking for a way to introduce your students to the world beyond your church building and help them understand the importance of missions, or perhaps give them an opportunity to practice what you have already taught them? If so, we invite your student group to partner with us!
This year Participants will virtually navigate through the streets of a city in Thailand with the opportunity to pray for those who haven’t yet heard the Good News of Jesus.
Sponsorship Benefits
- Ministry recognized with logo on Race website
- A representative from The Tide will speak to your group (via live stream if out of area)
- The Youth Ministry raising the most funds (per person average) will win a free pizza party for their Race group!
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 students
- Commit to raise at least $25 average/participant (Ex: 4 students =$100 total, 6 students =$150 total, etc.)
