Sharing Hope in Thailand Amid Tensions
Even as tensions between Thailand and Cambodia continue over ancient temple sites, The Tide® ministry is quietly and faithfully doing what it has always done, share the Good News of Jesus with people who desperately need hope.
While there is currently a ceasefire, the conflict along the border has intensified since late 2025, claiming more than 100 lives and forcing over half a million people to flee their homes. Battles have erupted across more than a dozen locations. In the middle of this instability, everyday families are searching for peace, stability, and truth. And this is exactly where our team in Thailand continues to shine. Even in the midst of grave conflict, they continue pressing forward, finding creative ways to share God’s healing Word with Christians and seekers who are living through the strife. The team’s resilience reflects the heart of the Gospel they proclaim.
For years, we have invested in global Gospel broadcasting across three continents and in multiple languages. In Thailand, our commitment took a major step forward in 2017 with the launch of Life’s Answers, a partner ministry focused on reaching the unreached Isaan people of northeast Thailand, where fewer than 2% of the population knows Christ.
Programs recorded in Isaan, a language spoken by more than 18 million people, quickly began airing on a popular FM station. These broadcasts have become a lifeline for listeners across the region, offering encouragement, teaching, and the message of salvation.
As the ministry has grown, so has its reach. The same Gospel content is now shared through social media and other digital platforms. With more than 90% of Thailand’s population active on social media, this shift has opened doors to connect with people right where they are.
Meeting People in Their Daily Lives
In 2025, we began posting a daily devotional called Walking with God on the Line app, one of Thailand’s most widely used communication platforms. Within the first month, the online following grew steadily, showing clear evidence that people are hungry for spiritual encouragement.
The team continues to pray for wisdom to use the most effective methods to reach Isaan listeners. This outreach is strengthening the work of local partners who are discipling new believers and planting house churches throughout the region.
A Chance to Join the Mission
As momentum builds, there is a new opportunity for supporters to come alongside this work. The proceeds from the upcoming 2026 Race to Share the Gospel Around the World will directly support outreach efforts in Thailand.
All are invited to take part in our Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 16, featuring a 5K and 1‑Mile Fun Run/Walk at Norlo Park in Fayetteville, PA, with games, prizes, door prize drawings, and a free picnic lunch.
For those who prefer flexibility, a Virtual Challenge will run from May 16 through May 31 where participants can virtually flood the streets (of a TBD city in Thailand) with prayer as they enter their miles, unlocking Milestone Markers with real prayer suggestions for real people along a 13-mile race path.
Every participant, sponsor, donor, and fundraiser plays a vital role in helping the Gospel reach people who may otherwise never hear it. Registration is open and we are filled with anticipation to see how God provides through this year’s event! Register today by clicking here.
