The Tide® Ministry’s Longest-Running Global Gospel Program Continues to Grow

The Tide® global Gospel ministry is partnering with Enhanced Access to Great Learning Experiences (EAGLE) in Zimbabwe to reach more listeners over the airwaves 12 hours a day.

Since 1983, The Tide ministry has shared the hope of Christ through a program called “Amagugu Evangeli,” which means “Precious Gospel” in English. Over the past several years, listener response to the program has grown exponentially, and The Tide ministry is looking forward to even more response as they begin broadcasting for longer periods.

The 12-hour broadcast is made possible through The Tide ministry’s partnership with EAGLE. The Zimbabwe-based learning organization is working in rural communities to ensure that children may all have access to quality learning materials. Partnering with The Tide, EAGLE will be splitting 24 hours of daily airtime with the “Amagugu Evangeli” broadcast in order to provide educational programs to children.

For the first time, The Tide ministry will need to transform a production studio into broadcasting facility that can be operational at all times.

“This will be a new venture,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “The prospect of providing Christian radio content in Zimbabwe for 12 hour every day is very exciting and will provide much needed hope and spiritual guidance for the people of Zimbabwe.”

This new initiative comes just in time for The Tide ministry’s 75th Anniversary as they celebrate longevity and look ahead with “The Tide Diamond Vision.” Through the lens of their Diamond VisionThe Tide is focusing on amplifying more ministry initiatives, solidifying more resources to help new believers and striving to bring glory to God.

“We eagerly anticipate where God will lead us in the future as we steward His ministry,” Shenk said. “And we are so excited to see our longest-running global Gospel program continue to grow.”
