CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.— During this Thanksgiving season, many people are taking the time to give thanks for things they are grateful for. Many list items, events, or even individuals they are thankful for. For The Tide® (www.TheTide.org) ministry, a global missional outreach ministry that shares the Gospel daily through radio broadcasts in over 30 different languages in 39 countries on three continents, Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for the past 75 years of spreading the Good News.
Don Shenk, Director of The Tide® Ministry, commented, “Every day, we are so grateful to God for the work that He has provided us to spread the Gospel around the globe. The longevity of this ministry is astounding and we give all glory to God—it really shows that there is a hunger for the Gospel all around the world, and we here at The Tide® are humbled by the fact that Christ has used this ministry over the past 75 years to reach the lost.
“Our mission still remains relevant, and we are seeing an ongoing impact all around the globe.”
Listeners all around the world have written to The Tide® ministry to express their thanks for the ability to hear the Gospel in their own language:
“I’m thankful for the spiritual food. I want to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ. My life is hard, but I will trust in God to protect me all the days.”
“Thank you for the revival. Peace be with you. I crave for His word. I want to join your bible study.”
“Thank you for the word of God. I was in dire straits, but now I am encouraged.”
“This radio station has become like a special friend to me. I listen because it fills my heart with joy and peace and I find a lot of wisdom for my daily life. I come from a traditional Muslim family but I have never been interested in religion. Thank you for sharing so much wisdom and peace to weary hearts.”
“While listening to the program, I felt like I had a revelation and in my heart I understood the meaning of ABBA, my Father. Since then, I felt a shift in my spiritual life and for the first time I understood joy beyond human logic. Thank you for these powerful programs.”
The Tide® is currently celebrating the past 75 years of global missions, while also looking forward to the next seven decades with their plan called “The Tide® Diamond Vision:”
