As we celebrate 75 years of ministry, we also celebrate how God has used The Tide® ministry to reach people with the Gospel through radio broadcasts in 39 countries on three different continents, with millions hearing the Good News, and many accepting Christ as their Savior.
Even as we celebrate what God has done, director Don Shenk and our team are planning ahead for the next 75 years, unrolling our “Diamond Vision” plan, which outlines our rededication to the ministry for the years to come.
Shenk commented, “After 75 years of ministry, we are still amazed that God chose to use a small radio ministry in Pennsylvania to spread the Gospel around the world. I am continually humbled by our small part in God’s grand scheme for His children.“
“However, we still have more ground to cover, and we at The Tide® ministry are already looking ahead to the next 75 years. Our Diamond Vision plan highlights the core foundations that The Tide® ministry has laid out of the future—all for the glory of His kingdom!”
The fifth key foundation we are focusing on is “Glorify,” which outlines our goal to strive to ensure that all we do to achieve our vision will bring glory to God.
Shenk explained, “We are committed to maintaining a God honoring culture that encompasses all who engage with us through encouragement, prayer, and financial support, including our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and ministry partners. We will strive to share ministry impact through communications that glorify God. Our events and functions will be structured to celebrate what God is doing and to worship Him.”
Along with the goal to “Glorify” the Lord through the vision, The Tide® ministry and our partners will focus on four other core foundations of “The Tide Diamond Vision:”
- Amplify – The Tide ministry will increase ministry initiatives so that more people can experience God’s grace.
- Magnify – The Tide ministry will work to grow its support base to an expanded demographic.
- Solidify – The Tide ministry will develop and supply more resources to help new believers to grow in their faith and live in right relationship with God.
- Verify – The Tide ministry will measure the effectiveness of its activities to both manage them well and to demonstrate the efficient stewardship of resources.
- Glorify – The Tide ministry will strive to ensure that all it does to achieve its vision will bring glory to God.
