CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.— The Tide® (www.thetide.org) ministry, a global outreach that utilizes radio broadcasts to share the Gospel of Christ in 39 countries on three different continents, is proud to host Piercing Word, a group of theatre professionals who are passionate about coming alongside Christians to help them engage their people with the Word of God, on February 19, 2022 at 6:00pm ET.
Piercing Word is a full-time, non-profit theatre ministry based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Using Scripture as their script, highly trained actors bring the Word of God to life through dramatic stage productions. Piercing Word also challenges Christians to memorize God’s Word for themselves and equips the Church with resources for Bible memorization and study.
“We at The Tide® ministry believe the Gospel is alive,” stated Don Shenk, director of The Tide® Ministry. “The Piercing Word event will help breathe new life into Scripture for the viewers, and we are honored to facilitate this event.”
The event on February 19 is titled “The One Story” and will allow viewers to experience the ultimate story of God’s plan for redemption. Framed around Jesus’ conversation on the Emmaus Road, this piece shows how all of Scripture points to the person and work of Christ. “The One Story” incorporates original orchestrations and other artistic elements to bring beautiful clarity to the Scriptures.
The event is free to all viewers, both in person and virtually. The performance will be held at Antrim BIC Church at 24 Kauffman Rd E, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania 17202. To view the livestream on February 19, click here.
The Tide® ministry just celebrated 75 years of global ministry and all that the Lord has done to reach people around the world with the Gospel. Looking ahead to the next 75 years, The Tide® ministry and its partners will focus on the core foundationsof “The Tide Diamond Vision”:

- Verify – The Tide ministry will measure the effectiveness of its activities to both manage them well and to demonstrate the efficient stewardship of resources.
- Glorify – The Tide ministry will strive to ensure that all it does to achieve its vision will bring glory to God.
