Utilizing Ministry Partnerships and Programs to Share the Gospel in Thailand

Although Thailand’s culture is rooted in Buddhism, Christianity continues to spread, in part through our ‘boots on the ground’ partners who tirelessly work to share the Gospel. The most widespread religion in Thailand is Buddhism, with Theravada Buddhism being the oldest surviving branch of the religion. This branch is especially strong among the Isaan people of northeastern Thailand, where less than 2% of the population is Christian.

Many people in Thailand either have either not heard of Christ or are not really sure who He is and what He has done for them. We are so grateful that the Lord has opened the door for us to share the Gospel through broadcast media in these regions that do not yet know of His love.

We are currently working with a ministry partner in Thailand to share God’s Word among the Isaan people by airing a 50-minute daily broadcast, as well as a 1-minute promo spot that airs hourly on several different radio stations. These programs have the potential to reach many in the Isaan language, as it is spoken by 19 million people in Thailand. In addition, our partners also started a new series called “Joy at Work,” interviewing believers at their workplaces to talk about the integration of faith and work. Originally designed to be a series of videos, the team is also releasing the series on the air to reach even more people with these powerful stories.

In addition, our team is building partnerships with other Christian ministries in the area, such as Christlike.co, a conglomeration of high quality and reliable Christian resources that remain true to biblical teachings.

These types of programs and partnerships display the wide variety of methods our team is utilizing on the ground in Thailand. By using these different techniques to share the Gospel, we are reaching even more people in new and exciting ways to show them the hope of Christ. As we continue to move forward with these projects, we pray that God will direct us to the most effective methods of making these programs publicly available to Isaan listeners.

We invite you to pray with us for the salvation of our Isaan listeners and for our team in Thailand as they continue serving the Lord and reaching out to those who desperately need to know about the Love of Christ.
