Listeners of The Tide® Gospel Radio Spread the Gospel in India, Nepal, and Bhutan

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—The Tide® (www.TheTide.org) ministry is continuing its mission in India, Nepal, and Bhutan, as well as across the world, working to share the love of Christ with as many hearts as possible through Gospel radio programming. Each program is produced and recorded individually in over 30 different languages in 39 countries on three continents in order to better connect with the listeners.

Recent testimonies from listeners have uplifted The Tide® ministry staff as they continue to spread the Gospel around the world. The Tide® ministry is encouraged to hear from listeners who have not only come to know Christ but have also been sharing the Truth with others in their community,” said The Tide® Director Don Shenk. “We are so thankful that the Lord has given us the opportunity to witness these salvation stories and hear how those who have recently come to know Christ are helping us in our mission to share the Good News to all.”

Three listeners recently wrote to The Tide® ministry to share how the Gospel radio program played an important part in their new relationships with Christ and how they have gone on to encourage friends to join them in following Jesus.

Listener Kamlesh wrote in recently, stating, “I have been a listener [of] your programs [for the] last ten months. It gives me peace, hope and joy. Now, all my family members also listen to this program and we are growing in fellowship and love of the Lord. I also listen to other language programs. Thanks for sending me the literature.”

One listener said, “[A local woman] was suffering from severe headaches for the last six months. Medicine had no effect on her and there was no remedy. She requested the church to pray for her healing. The church prayed with one accord and the Lord healed her. [She then] shared her testimony in the church.”

Another story from listeners comes from Reverend David Bhatra, a partner with The Tide® ministry who has been working in this region and effectively mobilizing the people and sharing the Gospel. One day when he was visiting a local village, he came across new families who were listening to the radio program. After listening to the radio program with the families, Rev. Bhatra shared his personal testimony about how the Lord had transformed his life. After listening to his testimony, 7 people expressed their willingness to come to know more about the Lord. Rev. Bhatra has been doing regular follow-up work among those interested persons and is continuing to encourage their relationship with Christ.

Shenk reflected on the ministry’s tangible impact in people’s lives, saying, “It is edifying to hear from viewers who are so touched by the content of the programs that they feel the need to share what God has done for them to others. It is amazing when we hear from unbelievers that they have been uplifted or are now putting their faith in Christ after listening to a Tide® ministry partner pastor or radio broadcast.”

The Tide® ministry is celebrating their 75th anniversary of recording and broadcasting Gospel programming. Millions of people in multiple regions on three continents can hear Gospel content recorded in over 30 heart languages, including those in Afghanistan, Albania, Bhutan, India, Kosovo, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Zimbabwe.
