3rd Annual Your Soles ~ Their Souls Shoe Drive Off and Running!

How often do we look in our closets and see unused shoes? Why not clear out your closet and help further the Great Commission by donating your new and gently used shoes to The Tide® ministry?

In an effort to reach even more people with the Gospel, we are excited to host our third annual Your Soles ~ Their Souls shoe drive. The event kicks off on January 2, 2024, with the goal to gather thousands of pairs of new or gently used shoes by March 6, 2024. Over the past two years, churches, businesses, and individuals have participated to help bring in more than 4,000 pairs of shoes each time; and this year we anticipate an even bigger turnout, with a goal set to collect 5,000 pairs.

The Tide ministry was born through innovation as Reverend Charlie Byers took evangelism to the airwaves and shared the Gospel around the world. After over 75 years of radio ministry, we still seek to continue that spirit of innovation, looking for ways to keep spreading the Gospel for the next 75 years to come. The Your Soles ~ Their Souls campaign is a great way to bring awareness to what we have been doing around the world, as well as provide funding for additional literacy classes in India.

How it works

Through a community effort, new or gently worn shoes are donated and collected around the area (up to 150 miles away at some locations) which make their way to The Tide world headquarters in Chambersburg, PA. Our partnering organization will pick up the shoes which will be used in micro businesses in developing countries around the world. This organization will give us funds for the shoes which will benefit Gospel outreach through The Tide Literacy classes in India where our ‘boots on the ground’ team uses biblically based material in the classes, exposing the students to the Gospel as they learn.
