The Tide® continues its life-altering ministry through radio broadcasts in Albania. They spread Christ’s hope and wisdom, reaching not only those who already put their faith and trust in Jesus but also those who may be far from Christ or not yet introduced to His love and grace.
“The Tide ministry has been honored to share the Gospel in Albania for the past five years, first over radio airwaves in partnership with Radio 7, then through media players and live streaming,” said Director Don Shenk. “We are so thankful to the local pastors who partner with us to grow the Church and share our programs with the people in their communities.” Shenk says that the work The Tide does is made possible by these pastors who produce the radio programs in the language of their own people and in a context that makes the Gospel accessible.
One pastor recently shared the love of Christ through his actions when he donated blood to a woman in desperate need. This woman, Kola, wrote to The Tide to share how she has been diagnosed with leukemia and how Pastor Klodi has stayed by her side, introducing her to the Gospel.
“It touched my heart because he barely knows me, and he gave his blood to help me heal,” Kola said. “Pastor Klodi give me a solar Radio. He asked me to listen to the Radio 7. I Never heard before about this radio station, but as I listen to the programs, I have found peace for my spirit and body.”
Kola is one of many listeners whose first experience with the Gospel message is through The Tide ministry’s partners and programming.
“I feel like the radio station makes my pain easier,” she said. “I have never prayed in my life. I knew there was a God but never asked about Him. Now life is interesting, and I think I am in the last station here. I think I need Him. I have prayed with Pastor Klodi, and his program on the radio helped me a lot. Thank you, thank you so much for helping me and praying for me.”
Shenk reflected on the ministry’s tangible impact on people’s lives, saying, “It is edifying to hear from viewers who are touched by the content of the programs. It is amazing when we hear from unbelievers that they have been uplifted or are now putting their faith in Christ after listening to a Tide partner pastor.”
