Listeners of The Tide® Gospel Radio Spread the Gospel in Albania

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—The Tide® (www.TheTide.org) continues its mission in Albania and across the world, working to share the love of Christ with as many hearts as possible through Gospel radio programming. Each program is produced and recorded individually in 30 local languages on three different continents.

“The Tide ministry is encouraged to hear from listeners who have not only came to Christ but have also been sharing the Truth with others in their community,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “We are so thankful that the Lord has given us the opportunity to witness these salvation stories.”

Three listeners recently wrote to The Tide to share how the Gospel radio programs played an important part in their new relationships with Christ and how the listeners have gone on to encourage friends to join them in following Jesus.

“I have been listening to Radio 7 for over two years,” said listener Ismira. “One year ago, I decided to give my life to Jesus. My life has changed, and I’m so full of joy and peace. There is no church in my village, but we have the radio. I have shared the Gospel with my friends and relatives, and now we are a group of eight believers that listen to the preaching on the radio together and read the Bible together. We listen to pastor Klodi twice a week and have learned a lot about God’s love and His justice.”

Word came from another listener who is a police officer. This man listens to Radio 7 while on the job and recently played the program for a prisoner he was transporting. The officer thought, “Maybe [the prisoner] will repent of what he has done and chose to do what is right.” The officer then provided wonderful news: “At the end of that trip, the prisoner told me he learned only God can forgive him.”

A young woman also wrote to The Tide, saying, “I work in a factory. There I have learned about the Radio 7 from some colleagues of mine. I have listening to the program, and I have learned a lot about God on the radio. I am going to the church some Sundays. It is all new to me, but it is so heartwarming. I have talked to other friends about the Lord and that Jesus saves. What I really like about the program is that is simple to understand, very helpful to know God and encouraging for me.”

Shenk reflected on the ministry’s tangible impact on people’s lives, saying, “It is edifying to hear from viewers who are touched by the content of the programs. It is amazing when we hear from unbelievers that they have been uplifted or are now putting their faith in Christ after listening to a Tide partner pastor.”

The Tide ministry is celebrating its 75th anniversary of recording and broadcasting Gospel programming. Millions of people in multiple regions on three continents can hear Gospel content recorded in 30 heart languages, including those in Afghanistan, Albania, Bhutan, India, Kosovo, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
