‘Life’s Answers’ Reaches People of Thailand Online

For the past two years, The Tide has shared the Gospel in Thailand in the Isaan language, spoken by 19 million people throughout the Buddhist nation. The Tide ministry’s presence in Thailand was significant, as it marked the 25th broadcast language for the global organization.

The Tide ministry’s work in Thailand began in 2017 with 45-minute programs that included music, testimonies and passages from the Bible.

“Residents of villages in Thailand received storyteller devices so they could listen to the programs in their own language,” saidThe Tide Director Don Shenk. “Now, however, The Tide is branching out to reach even more people in new ways. Thirty-two episodes of the ‘Life’s Answers’ program have been shortened to 30 minutes and are currently available on YouTube and Facebook. Shorter Bible stories, about four to seven minutes in length, are also being posted and will allow for an entire new audience to hear the message of the Gospel and the hope of Christ.”

The Tide programs also continue to be shared through media players, as well as via USB drives with small speakers. These innovative ways to share the technology are effective. In fact, other ministries are also using The Tide programming to witness to those they are trying to reach, according to The Tide partners on the ground.

For example, two Youth With a Mission (YWAM) bases in the Isaan region have shared that they use the programs with believers in villages where they work—and hear very positive feedback in return. Likewise, missionaries in the Sisaket province also use these programs in their ministry to villagers.

For more than seven decades, The Tide ministry has recorded and broadcasted Gospel programming in eight countries on three continents in 25 heart languages spoken by millions of people in multiple regions of Albania, Bhutan, India, Kosovo, Nepal, Nigeria, Thailand and Zimbabwe. With more than 7,000 languages spoken worldwide and more than 2,000 people groups that have been unreached by the Good News of Jesus, the opportunities are tremendous.
