Redeeming Uncle Tom Movie Screening

A special screening of the film Redeeming Uncle Tom will take place on Friday evening. Jared Brock, who authored The Road To Dawn, tells the story of Josiah Henson the protagonist in Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Born a slave in Maryland, Henson escaped to Canada and rose to international prominence as a leader and abolitionist. This ground-breaking documentary is narrated by Danny Glover (as seen on PBS), and allows us to re-trace Josiah’s 3000-mile journey from slavery to freedom.  No charge and no ticket needed to attend. The Rhodes Grove coffee shop will be open for sales. All proceeds benefit world missions through The Tide Ministry.
