DESCRIPTION:In 1946\, Reverend Charlie Byers set out to spread the Gospel locally via his radio show “The Gospel Tide Hour.” Through God’s providence\, that radio show has grown into The Tide® global radio ministry\, sharing the truth about Jesus in multiple languages on three continents!  \n\n\n\nOn March 17\, we will host Reverend Byers’ son\, Nelson Byers\, for a special “I Remember When” interview to learn more about the inception of The Tide® ministry. Nelson has observed and participated in The Tide® ministry since its founding 75 years ago. His memory is full of anecdotal information\, and we are so excited to hear his reflections on the early years and history of The Tide® ministry. \n\n\n\nThis “I Remember When” event will be held virtually through Zoom and will also be streamed online as a Facebook live broadcast on The Tide Facebook page. From May 14-21\, 2022\, you can enjoy the galleries and shops\, dine on freshly caught seafood\, or stroll the sand out to the lighthouse. Park your car for the week or tour the island sites such as the Tabernacle and Victorian homes in Oak Bluffs\, or the stunning cliffs and Indian lore of Aquinah. \n\n\n\nUse of a second floor 2 queen-bed unit (up to 4 people) with balcony\, overlooking the harbor and Chappy Ferry is being offered. Amenities include heated pool\, outdoor grills\, use of shared kitchens\, library\, and game room\, cable and wifi. Take a tour of The Inn at www.theharborsideinn.com. \n\n\n\nRetail rental is just over $2700 (inc. tax) for the week. Bids and questions may be sent to jeff@thetide.org. There is no minimum bid. This year our outing will take place on August 27. \n\n\n\nThis will be the 7th consecutive year for The Tide international radio ministry to host this event\, and the 3rd year at Range End Golf Club in Dillsburg\, Pennsylvania. Over the years\, The Tide Annual Golf Benefit has earned the reputation as a great event that is popular among golfers of all ages and skill levels. A few hours of golf for you can help provide eternal hope for others! \n\n\n\nThis benefit will be a scramble and will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:00 AM. The cost per golfer is $85 if registered before July 26 or $90 if registered after. The cost covers the green fees for 18 holes of golf and a golf cart. Complimentary refreshments will be available at various locations around the course and a free picnic lunch will also be provided. Please note: this opportunity is only available to the first 128 people to register. \n\n\n\nAll golfers who participate will also be entered in a drawing for a variety of door prizes\, including drivers\, irons\, golf bags\, pushcarts\, a GPS unit\, and more!
